Attack of the 50 foot Lilies

These monsters are in full bloom. (Click on photos for large view)




































So yes, they are in full blooom, but how big are they really? I'm 5'11" (I just got home from work, I don't garden in these clothes.)




































OK maybe not 50 feet tall but still......

  2. Granny - and super fragrant too! While I was putzing withthe camera the smell was heady.

    Sue I fed them nothing! They are in their 3rd year, and we did have a lot of snow last winter, but I am amazed as well!

  6. Wow, those are the tallest I have ever seen. We are lucky ours are over two feet. Yours would sure be traffic stoppers on our street.

  7. Hi Tango, they are trumpet lilies, known for thier size, but I've never had them grow this large. They areoutside the bedroom window, when then wind is right the fragrant smell wafts in. Thanks for stopping by!
