Trellis build

Part of the plan for the Square Foot Garden  is a trellis to support tomatoes, squash and beans. This was a simple project, and was inexpensive. Made of ground stakes, electrical conduit, and netting and zipties, this should support whatever I can grow on it.

I'll make three 5'x7' frames.

Pound in the stakes.

Cut the conduit, I have a handy-dandy pipe cutter.

There are 90 degree connectors. We'll use these to connect the top to the sides.

Snake the netting onto the frames, ziptie to the the posts and there we have it. Trellis!

I can't wait to have tomatoes, squash, and cucumbers growing up the trellis!

Until next time, Keep Digging & Eat Well!

  2. It feels a little silly..but watching all you northern hemisphere gardeners flourishing in your spring excites me and keeps me from falling into the cold weather doldrums. Love the trellis!

Hazel, I know what you mean! The flip flop is fun to experience. I know I'll be living vicariously through you down-under come Autumn.
